Canadian government has paused the Canadian investor immigration program until the new proposed eligibility criteria for the immigrant investor program takes effect. Therefore no new applications for Canadian immigration will be considered effective June 26, 2010.

The new proposed regulatory changes are:

Net worth of $1.6M, instead of $800,000,
Make an investment of $800,000, increased from $400,000
